4 The Player

4ThePlayer might not be a very familiar name in this industry yet, but with solid connections with big names like Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil, and Playtech, this company is definitely in a good position in the industry. Their portfolio speaks of their creativity and innovative approaches to games too.

Start & Development

Despite being a relatively newcomer to the gambling industry, 4ThePlayer is backed up by years of experience from their founders. Andrew Porter, CEO at 4ThePlayer, brought over 16 years of experience to the company, having held the role of Casino Content Director at Playtech, one of the largest iGaming companies in the world. Similarly, Chris Ash was the founder of Ash Gaming, one of the UK’s leading content development companies which was later acquired by Playtech in 2011. Without a doubt, one of the things that makes this company really stand out, is their games. Not only have they come up with two very innovative features that are exclusive to their games only, they also come up with truly unique themes that you aren’t likely to find anywhere else. In fact, in 2019, their innovative approach was recognised when their slot 9kYeti won 2nd Best Online Slot in the Online-Slot.co.uk annual awards!

Special Skills

Early in 2019, 4ThePlayer formed successful partnerships with both Relax Gaming and Yggdrasil. Relax Gaming signed 4ThePlayer as one of their latest partners in their Silver Bullet partner programme. With Yggdrasil, they formed an agreement to provide content for the Yggdrasil YGS Masters programme as an independent game studio. Later in the year, Scientific Games also expanded their content offering with the addition of 4ThePlayer’s game portfolio.

Our final verdict

By early 2020, 4ThePlayer’s portfolio consisted of three game releases with three more in the pipeline. From the first three games releases by this provider, however, it’s easy to see what they are all about. The first game released was 100 Bit Dice, a new take on the original cryptocurrency game. 100 Bit Dice offers a fast-paced, unique approach to table gaming and although it may seem complicated at first glance, it’s a very straightforward and fun game to play. 9K Yeti was the next and first slot releasing, going in a totally different direction from their first release. This slot is about a freezing mountain expedition, featuring the new Plus+Ways mechanic, the Big Reel Portrait Mode, and a Snowstorm feature that could potentially turn a losing spin into a winning one. Not only that, but in 9K Yeti, landing six scatters on the reels awards a massive 88 free spins. 1 Left Alive is another slot game in the portfolio, featuring the same features as well as stacked wild wins and Bloody Wilds too. As you can tell, 4ThePlayer is not afraid to experiment with different themes and none of their games are alike either, catering for different tastes and preferences.
